Pigeon Hole

We spent three days in Hobart, and our first meal was at Pigeonhole. Initially, we didn't expect much, but by our last day, we found ourselves coming back. The service was fabulous, and the food unlike anything we've had in Melbourne, was unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back the next time we miss this town.

The best sourdough bread I have eaten so far. Great food and what attracts even more is their farm to table fresh produces. They had the best homemade mixed berry jam too. Great food combined with excellent service it was and Pigeon Hole Hobart will have a special place in my heart

Searched for ‘Pigeon Whole’ but navigation took me here, the ‘Pigeon Hole’. The mistake turns out to be a surprise. The vibe is barn like. Started with soup of the day (on that day was green pea an and something) with sour dough. It was absolutely delicious. Can tell the beans are very fresh. Coffee is great, too. Beans are from Villino. Then tried their toasted wrap with scrambled egg and bacon, hands off. I normally hate pickle but that little touch of pickle on the plate really made sense. And I heard some ‘funny’ stories abt their names with ‘hole and whole’ it was quite funny, too.

Lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly. Food is superb. I ordered baked eggs with sourdough and extra bacon. It was delicious. However i ordered a chai latte but that wasn't the best. My friend ordered a latte also slightly strong. Overall it was a good experience..

A unique and small cafe, perfect for a solo breakfast or small group of friends and families. The meals are very delicious and full of flavour! More importantly, the coffee is one of the best in Hobart.

Love Pigeon Hole! It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy a weekend brunch with family or a relaxed weekday meal solo. While it’s not cheap, the prices feel spot on for the quality. We always leave feeling like we’ve had good value for money. The food is mostly sourced from their own paddocks, and you can truly taste the freshness. My go-to is usually the omelette, but there are plenty of great options, and they regularly update their specials. My wife and I consider it our favourite brunch spot in Hobart.
